Refer for Pharmacogenomic Testing
Clinicians may refer patients to RayMex Wellness for psychiatric evaluation and consideration of GeneSight Psychotropic testing when medication selection or tolerability has been challenging. Referrals are welcome from primary care, therapists and psychologists, hospitals and emergency departments, PHP/IOP and substance-use programs, pediatric and OB/GYN practices, school-based providers, and other behavioral-health clinicians.
RayMex Wellness is a psychiatric practice, not a laboratory. Our providers determine whether pharmacogenomic testing is clinically appropriate, order the test, and interpret the report as part of a broader medication review. The genetic analysis itself is performed by the GeneSight laboratory.
Please note: GeneSight testing does not identify a guaranteed effective medication and does not replace psychiatric evaluation or clinical judgment. Results are one input alongside diagnosis, treatment history, side effects, current medications, and clinical judgment.
