Child Mental Health
Compassionate psychiatric care for children. Expert evaluation and medication management to support your child's emotional, behavioral, and developmental well-being.
Childhood mental health challenges are more common than many parents realize. Approximately 1 in 6 children ages 2 to 8 has a diagnosed mental, behavioral, or developmental disorder. Early identification and treatment can make a significant difference in a child's trajectory.
At RayMex Wellness, we provide thorough psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral difficulties, and mood disorders.
We understand that seeking psychiatric care for a child can feel overwhelming. Our approach is warm, family-centered, and collaborative. We work closely with parents to explain diagnoses, discuss treatment options, and develop plans that prioritize the child's well-being.

Frequently Asked Questions
At what age do you see children for psychiatric care?
RayMex Wellness provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children ages 6 and older. For children younger than 6, we recommend consulting with your pediatrician and can provide referrals to specialists.
Will my child need medication?
Not necessarily. Medication is one tool among many in treating childhood mental health conditions. After a comprehensive evaluation, your child's provider will discuss all treatment options, including medication, therapy referrals, and behavioral interventions. Medication is only recommended when clinically appropriate and is always discussed thoroughly with parents before starting.
How do I know if my child needs psychiatric care?
Consider a psychiatric evaluation if your child's emotional or behavioral difficulties are persistent (lasting more than a few weeks), interfering with school or social functioning, causing significant distress to the child or family, or not responding to behavioral strategies. Early intervention often leads to better outcomes.
