Child ADHD
Compassionate, evidence-based ADHD evaluation and treatment for children. Helping young patients thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders diagnosed in childhood. Children with ADHD may struggle with attention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and behavioral regulation, affecting their performance in school, social interactions, and family life.
At RayMex Wellness, we understand the unique challenges that children and their families face when living with ADHD. Our evaluations are thorough, developmentally informed, and designed to identify ADHD as well as any co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, learning disabilities, or oppositional behavior.
We work collaboratively with parents and caregivers to develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication, behavioral interventions, and school-based support recommendations.

Frequently Asked Questions
At what age can a child be evaluated for ADHD?
Children can be evaluated for ADHD as early as age 4, though most evaluations begin at age 6 or older, when academic demands increase. At RayMex Wellness, we typically evaluate children ages 6 and up using a combination of clinical interviews, rating scales, and developmental history.
Is medication safe for children with ADHD?
ADHD medications have been extensively studied in children and are considered safe and effective when prescribed and monitored by a qualified psychiatric provider. Side effects are generally mild and manageable. Your child's provider will start with the lowest effective dose and monitor closely for any concerns.
Do you work with schools regarding ADHD accommodations?
Yes. We can provide documentation and recommendations to support 504 Plan or IEP accommodations for your child. We believe in a collaborative approach that includes parents, educators, and healthcare providers working together to support the child's success.
